Lynn Grows Celebrates Successful Launch Party

After much preparation, Lynn Grows celebrated its transition into a new phase of work with a Launch Party this past Saturday. The event featured live music, delicious food (including fruit platter donations from Ernie's Harvest Time), activities including salad taste tests and a vermicompost bin, and stories from steering committee members about why they got involved in this work. A video about Lynn Grow's work that was made with the help of LCTV was also premiered. It features interviews with John Wang of The Food Project, Makenzie Mackin of the Lynn Food and Fitness Alliance, Alex Cuevas of the Bodega Makeover Project, and Rediet Habtegebriel, who is a high school student from Lynn.
